See the 2022 Toyota Tundra's Trims and Options

The 2022 Toyota Tundra is new for its third generation, and it will be on sale by the end of the year in SR, SR5, Limited, Platinum, 1794, and TRD Pro trim levels. Crew- and extended-cab configurations are available with a choice of three different bed lengths, and a new twin-turbocharged V-6 hybrid called iForce Max is available on all but the SR and SR5 models. Toyota has shared images of a few Tundras with different option packages—there will certainly be more configurations available—but these are some of the versions we've seen so far.

Toyota hasn't shared images of the base SR model, but imagine a work truck with few niceties. The next step up is the SR5 (pictured here), which is only available with the 389-hp twin-turbocharged 3.4-liter V-6. This example is finished in Lunar Rock, a color previously available only on the TRD Pro, and it's equipped with the TRD Sport package (exclusive to the SR5) that adds 20-inch black TRD wheels, a TRD grille, a lowered suspension, and a TRD shifter.

This Limited model is finished in Supersonic Red, and it's equipped with the optional TRD Off-Road package. That package includes 20-inch wheels (18-inchers on the SR5), a TRD grille, Bilstein dampers, skid plates, mud guards, and a TRD leather shifter.

Platinum models are more luxurious, and this example is equipped with the optional rear air springs (available on the SR5, Limited, Platinum, and 1794 models) that can raise the truck for low-speed off-road driving or or lower it to make it easier to load the bed or hook up a trailer. The Platinum has gray 20-inch wheels, and this color is called Blueprint. It also has a unique four-bar grille and interior ambient lighting that's exclusive to the Limited and 1794 models.

The 1794 special edition was offered on the old Tundra, and it's a reference to the factory in San Antonio, Texas, where the truck is built. Before the plant existed, the site was previously a ranch that first opened in 1794. This 1794 edition is finished in Mesquite and is also equipped with the TRD Off-Road package. The 1794 models without this package have more chrome trim. It also has a 1794 edition badge on the front door. This example has a cream interior (brown is also available) and 1794-exclusive wood trim.

The TRD Pro is the top-of-the-line Tundra, and it'll compete against other off-road-focused half-tons such as the F-150 Tremor and Chevy Silverado Trail Boss. It has a TRD Pro–specific grille with "Toyota" script across the top and an integrated LED light bar beneath it. It's equipped with Fox dampers with internal-bypass chambers and remote reservoirs and sits on a set of TRD Pro wheels wrapped in 33-inch Falken Wildpeak all-terrain tires. Toyota's Multi Terrain Select drive modes come standard as well as Crawl Control, which acts like a low-speed off-road cruise control.

An 8.0-inch touchscreen is standard on the SR and SR5 models, but Toyota hasn't shared images of the smaller screen. This 14.0-inch unit is optional on the SR5 and standard on higher trims, and it debuts Toyota's new Audio Multimedia system. It now has voice-activated commands, and Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are now standard.

This instrument panel is standard on the lower trims, and it features a 4.1-inch screen between the gauges that displays things like navigation, safety features, and audio.

This 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster is standard on the Platinum, 1794, and TRD Pro models, and comes on the Limited when the truck is equipped with the iForce Max hybrid powertrain. On startup, it displays one of five different national parks, and can show things like towing info, pitch and roll, and engine performance.
