Yahoo Autos Senna Laps Estoril Six Seconds Quicker Than 720S
The numbers that the McLaren Senna generates are mind-blowing-789 hp, 2640 lbs dry, and 1760 lbs of downforce at 155 mph. And courtesy of Carfection, we have one more astonishing figure to add to that list-the Senna laps the circuit at Estoril a full six seconds faster than a McLaren 720S.
As Carfection's Henry Catchpole points out, the 720S is nearly as quick as McLaren's hypercar, the P1, which helps put the Senna's brutal speed into context. The Senna's improvement over the P1 isn't that surprising, though. Thanks to its hybrid system, the P1 offers a little over 100 more horsepower than the Senna, but it weighs over 400 lbs more. So, the Senna has a better power-to-weight ratio.
Still, it's impressive, especially when you consider the fact that Estoril is short, just over 2.5 miles long. Shaving six seconds there is no mean feat.
