Winter is on its way, which means rallycross season is in full swing. Tons of cool cars showed up at this weekend's New England region event this weekend in Canaan, New Hampshire, but one stood out more than the rest.

Jesse Carr, who, according to his Facebook page, normally drives a WRX at these events, decided to show up in a Lamborghini Gallardo, according to results from the event. If you're familiar with the Gallardo, you'll know that as a low-slung mid-engine supercar, it wasn't exactly built to handle coned-off dirt courses. Still, Carr didn't hesitate to chuck it sideways through the rutted field at Canaan Motor Club:

Sure, the car wasn't setting any course records—minimal suspension travel and sticky summer tires can only do so much—but we can't help but commend Carr for taking his supercar to a place few have before. A true hero.

For those curious exactly why someone would put a Lamborghini through this type of abuse, we think it's better to ask, why not? The more rally supercars, the better, we say.
