When it comes to saving his marriage to Kim Kardashian, Kanye West is apparently taking things very seriously. It’s so serious, in fact, that Kanye reportedly sees winning Kim back as a kind of religion.
According to Page Six, a source close to Kanye says the rapper has three main reasons for wanting to fix his relationship with Kim and he calls them “the holy trinity.” Here’s a breakdown of Kanye’s reasons for wanting to win Kim back, according to that insider.
Reason 1: He knows how extra he is.
The first reason on the list is a classic “It’s not you, it’s me” kind of thing. Basically, the source says Kayne is *very* aware of just how difficult he can be to be married to, and he recognizes that Kim has a kind of “putting up with Kanye” superpower.
“He isn’t sure if any other woman is going to be able to put up with him,” the source explained. “He is a lot—and Kim is already used to everything, he doesn’t have to explain things to her. She knows how to put up with him when he is going through his dark days.”
Reason 2: North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm.
No surprises here really, but another pillar of Kanye’s holy trinity of reasons he needs to keep Kim in his life is all about the family they’ve built together.
“The second reason is the kids,” the source said, according to Page Six.
Reason 3: He’s just not that into the whole idea of divorce.
The third reason the source listed as part of Kanye’s holy trinity of relationship saving isn’t as much about Kim specifically as it is about Kanye’s views about marriage as an institution.
Third: “As a religious person, he doesn’t want to get a divorce.”
Bonus reason: The Kimye aesthetic.
In addition to all the very emotional and deeply personal reasons Kanye reportedly has for wanting to fix his failing marriage, he’s also an image-conscious person who appreciates the joint brand he and Kim have built, it seems.
“He also cares about his image,” the source added. “He thinks [Kim] looks good next to him.”
No word yet on Kim’s thoughts on Kanye’s religious-level approach to wanting to save their bond.
