The State of New York Will Sell You a Maserati GranTurismo

From Road & Track

The New York State Office of General Services is auctioning off a host of supplies and vehicles at the Harriman State Office in Albany next week. Among the high-mileage Impalas and old Crown Victorias for sale is something quite interesting: A 2014 Maserati GranTurismo convertible. Huh?

According to Democrat & Chronicle, the Maserati, as well as a 2014 BMW X6, were seized by the Attorney General's office as a part of a $9.9 million Medicaid fraud investigation in the Bronx. It has just 1660 miles on the clock, and is finish in a lovely black over red color combo.

The GranTurismo, first introduced in 2008, comes equipped with a Ferrari-sourced 444-horsepower, 4.7-liter V8 and a six-speed automatic transmission. Designed by Pininfarina, it certainly stands out amongst the troves of ex-cop cars up for sale.

This particular Maserati is valued at around $78,000, but as we know, anything can happen at an auction. If you don't mind the previous owner's shady past, there might be a deal in it for you.
