One of the best ways to make your old car look factory-fresh is to have it stripped down to bare metal and repainted. There are quick, simple ways to remove a car's paint, but if you want your new finish to be as close to perfect as possible, you'll need an expert. One like George Amorim of J&B Bodyworks up in Mount Vernon, New York.

Detailing expert Larry Kosilla tapped the services of Amorim and J&B Bodyworks while undertaking a full restoration of his 911. Previously, we've seen this car undergo a roof transplant and tons of rust repair.

Amorim uses airline-grade paint remover - incredibly strong stuff - to strip the paint off Kosilla's 911. It also provides for a fascinating visual in seeing the paint quite literally fall off the car.

Once the paint is off the car, Amorim sands everything down to give it a nice, even surface, making small repairs where needed. You wouldn't expect this level of work from a discount car paint chain, but it's what you need if you want your car to be concours-quality.
