Subaru Files 12 New Outdoorsy TrademarksSubaru
  • Subaru has filed 12 new trademarks with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

  • All 12 trademarks are filed for automobiles, meaning they could be potential names for new models, trim levels, or concept cars.

  • The full list of Subaru's new trademarks includes Accomplice, Everguide, Everpass, Getaway, Highroad, Hightrail, Outsider, Tailwind, Trailhead, Trailseeker, Uncharted, and Viewfinder.

Subaru may be looking to expand its adventurous offerings in the near future. As reported by AutoGuide, Subaru filed 12 new trademarks with the USPTO last week. Each of the 12 patents is filed as an International Class 12 trademark covering "Automobiles and structural parts and fittings therefor." In everyday terms, they're all trademarks for vehicles—not software or other products that a car company may sell.

Even narrowing the trademarks down to vehicles leaves a wide range of possibilities for what Subaru could be planning. The list of new trademarks includes Accomplice, Everguide, Everpass, Getaway, Highroad, Hightrail, Outsider, Tailwind, Trailhead, Trailseeker, Uncharted, and Viewfinder. Most of the new names like Hightrail, Trailseeker, and Highroad seem like they could be new adventure-style trims to sit alongside, or fully replace the existing Wilderness editions.
