Subaru Hints at New Electric Sports Car Concept

Subaru is hyping up fans ahead of the upcoming Japan Mobility Show 2023, releasing some details about its exhibit. While a special edition Forester and a new Levorg variant for the Japanese market are interesting enough, the brand’s latest EV sports car concept is set to be the real highlight of the October 25 press conference.

The automaker hasn’t shared many details about what it's calling the Subaru Sport Mobility Concept, but it did publish a single photo of the car on its global media site on Tuesday. The image depicts a low-slung coupe, which appears to feature a large glass canopy in place of a traditional roof setup. One could even call it reminiscent of the old SVX, which remains one of the more interesting products Subaru has ever made. The front and rear fenders also jump out as a design highlight, with large grooves running back and around the wheel opening. These almost look like the plastic cladding you find on the current WRX, but shaped from the bodywork itself.
