This pair of 212cc go-karts pays homage to the 2006 film Talladega Nights
The auction also includes racing suits to match the carts' liveries, so two drivers can dress up as Ricky Bobby and Cal Naughton, Jr.
The auction ends on January 24
We're about a month past Christmas, but maybe you still want to get one more gift for your two adorably feisty boys, Walker and Texas Ranger. If you've been praying to the eight-pound, six-ounce newborn infant Jesus that you'd find something truly special, well, your prayers have been answered by Bring a Trailer—which, like Car and Driver, is part of Hearst Autos.
There, you'll find these two go-karts set up just like the star cars in the 2006 Will Ferrell movie, Talladega Nights: the Ballad of Ricky Bobby. The kids better get ready to race.
Or, better yet, take the wheel yourself. The seller says the go-karts can fit a driver up to six feet tall. Grab a friend, slip into the included Sparco racing suits, and you're Ricky Bobby and Cal Naughton, Jr.
The go-karts themselves are tubular-steel frame underneath, with four-inch wheels and a 212cc Predator single-cylinder OHV engine and chain drive. One is kitted out with Ricky Bobby's Wonder Bread racing livery and the other with his best friend Cal Naughton Jr.'s Old Spice livery.
They're perfect for ripping around the cul-de-sac while the neighbors look on disapprovingly. That promises to be more fun than signing a baby's forehead.
These carts are selling at no reserve, with the auction set to cross the finish line on January 24. Remember, if you ain't first, you're last.
