Yahoo Autos Team manager Kremer leaves Juncos Hollinger
Juncos Hollinger Racing and Vince Kremer, its veteran team manager, have amicably parted ways. The team co-owned by Ricardo Juncos and Brad Hollinger will install a new, yet to be named replacement at the beginning of October.
“It was a mutual agreement because Vince was originally to come into to help me temporarily, and it was already two years he was helping us,” Juncos told RACER. “We are still in good shape, and we’re really good friends and really appreciate what he did, to be honest, because when I really needed a huge jump in making this team ready to race for the full season [in 2022] and now when we do the two cars for Callum [Ilott] and Agustin [Canapino], he was giving us amazing support to make this happen.”
Kremer, who rates as one of the most respected members of the IndyCar community, joined JHR after the team made its return to the series following a late three-race stint with Formula 2 front-runner Ilott at the tail end of 2021.
Transitioning to a full-time single-car program last year, Kremer oversaw the IndyCar side of JHR’s multi-series organization, and his skills were instrumental in helping the team expand to a pair of full-season entries for Ilott and rookie Canapino in 2023.
“We are in a good position with a big thanks to Vince, and a new manager will come in early October,” Juncos added. “I’m in Argentina now, going back to America next week, and then we will look at the candidates we have and make the decision.”
