Television Show Cars Are Truly Terrible to Drive

From Road & Track

It's always nice to see cool cars on television. It's even nicer when those cars are professionally customized and tricked out, like this Dodge Charger from the SyFy television show Defiance. Vehicles like this might look like something from your post-apocalyptic dream garage, but what are they like to drive? Terrible, actually.

The guys over at Regular Car Reviews got the chance to wheel this dystopian Charger around some backroads, along with a bit of light off-roading. While it may look like the perfect anti-zombie transport vehicle, it's actually all just for show, unsurprisingly. The side-mounted exhaust? Fake. The suspension? Nearly unusable. And those fat all-terrain tires? They make the car borderline-dangerous to drive on the street.

And if you thought this decked out Charger could possibly get anywhere off-road, think again. Thanks to its long wheelbase, Mr. Regular can't keep from high-centering the car at every opportunity.

Watch for yourself and check out all of the weird modifications necessary to get this Charger in front of the camera.
