Ten of the Best Movie Car Stunts Ever
- 1/11
Part of making a great car movie is finding ways to get cars to do things they'd never do in real life.

Bad Boys 2
Bad Boys 2 might not be what comes to mind when you think of an award-winning movie, but this freeway scene actually won a 2004 World Stunt Award for Best Work with a Vehicle. It's ridiculous in the best way possible.

Blues Brothers
The Blues Brothers and its stunts are about as absurd as it gets, but that's part of why we love it. And who hasn't ever wanted to drive a car through a mall, hitting everything possible?

The Bourne Identity
This scene would have been pretty cool if it had just been a chase scene. But the decision to bounce a classic Mini down stairs is really what makes it stand out.

Ford Mustang GT (Bullitt)
For car enthusiasts, Bullitt is easily Steve McQueen's best movie. It's full of outstanding cars, and the central car-chase scene essentially invented the genre. In celebration of the Mustang GT's starring role in the film, Ford has released several Bullitt-edition Mustangs.

Fast Five
There's definitely some CGI being used here, but you have to give Fast Five credit for the sheer insanity of it all. Towing shipping containers with Dodge Chargers through a city? Only the Fast and Furious franchise could come up with something like that.

The French Connection
When a bad guy's stolen a train, you've got to go stop him. This scene is another iconic car chase, and like Bullitt, it was shot without CGI. But it was also shot without closing off any streets or getting any permits.

Gone in 60 Seconds
This whole movie may as well be one long car stunt. But the most memorable part has to be using one car as a ramp to jump another car over it. Super cool, but oh, that poor Mustang.

The Man with the Golden Gun
Plenty of movies have a car jump scene. But The Man with the Golden Gun took it one step further by having Roger Moore's car do a full 360-degree spin in the air. Oh, and of course there's the slide whistle for effect.

Ronin
Bullitt probably has the most famous driving scene of any movie, but if there's a close second, it's Ronin. The driving here is just incredible.

Terminator 2
Nothing ups the action in a movie quite like a semi-truck. Except this one drives off a bridge. Presumably, the semi they used was completely destroyed, but it still looked awesome.
