Well, this isn't something you hear every day. According to the Birmingham Mail, someone just stole £3 million ($3.75 million USD) worth of engines from Jaguar Land Rover's UK plant. What's even crazier is that they did it in full view of the security cameras.

According to the Birmingham Mail's sources, the thief or thieves didn't perform any sort of elaborate break-in. They simply drove up to building in a stolen truck, went through the security gate, hooked the truck up to a trailer full of engines, and drove off.

The total time it took to get in and out? Six minutes. What's even crazier is that once they'd stolen the first trailer, they came back later that night. Their plan worked again, and they were able to get in and out without a problem.

The driver was reportedly able to do so partly because he had the right paperwork to get through security. So while there was a clear breach of security, it sounds like there's a much bigger issue than a negligent security guard. After all, how does a thief know where trailers full of engines are located, as well as where to get the necessary paperwork?

And while the police department has already recovered the stolen trailers, the still have yet to find the engines. If you happen to find the engines, though, we're sure the West Midlands police would like to hear from you.

Additionally, Jaguar has offered a "substantial reward" to anyone who can help find the missing engines.
