All the Things Bentley Gives You In a $250,000 Bentayga

From Road & Track

Until recently, truly wealthy buyers had a problem-luxury SUVs were too affordable. Yes, you could option a Range Rover past $200,000 if you wanted the SVAutobiography edition, but on the road, even a loaded Range Rover doesn't look all that different from the $85,000 base version your dentist drives. And what millionaire wants to be confused with a dentist?

Considering the popularity of SUVs these days, Bentley saw an opportunity to solve this problem. Instead of topping out around $250,000, the new Bentayga starts at that price. And there are no less-expensive versions. If you show up in a Bentley Bentayga, no one's going to accuse you of merely being upper-middle class.

As our friend Doug DeMuro found out in his latest video, the Bentayga is more than simply exclusive. It also comes loaded with features that go far beyond what anyone could possibly need in an SUV. For example, while regular cars have a touchscreen infotainment system in the center console, the Bentayga has an additional one for back seat passengers. And don't even get us started on the $160,000 clock you can add. Yes, that's an optional dashboard clock that costs more than a Porsche Panamera Turbo.

Even after seeing everything the Bentayga has to offer, we're still not entirely sure it's three times as much car as a Range Rover. But it's still fascinating to see what you can get in an SUV that costs more than some people's houses.
