'Today' Fans Show Up To Support Al Roker And Deborah Roberts Over Emotional Instagram

Al Roker tips his hat to the impact of strong women and the strong daughters they create.

On March 26, the Today show weatherman shared a rare moment with his wife, Deborah Roberts, and their daughter, Leila. In the photo, the ABC News correspondent embraces the couple's eldest child during a visit to Paris where she lives full-time. Al's family picture was placed side-by-side with a snap of Supreme Court Justice nominee Ketanji Brown-Jackson and her daughter, who is also named Leila.

The image was captured by The New York Times during the confirmation hearings of Judge Jackson when her daughter was sitting behind her beaming with pride. "A pair of strong women, #ketanjibrownjackson and @debrobertsabc with their strong and proud daughters named Leila," Al captioned his Instagram post.

Al's fans were moved by the post and inspired by the images of strong Black mothers and their daughters. One person wrote: "What a beautiful moment! Such loving strong role models for these two lovely daughters!! 😍😍❤️❤️🙏🙏." Another added: "All Beautiful Ladies 😍❤️." A different fan said: "Both girls resemble their mothers!! Beautiful all around."

What's more, Deborah originally posted the incredible photo on Instagram and she wholeheartedly agreed with what fans were saying in Al's repost. "Two beautiful Leilas. Two proud mamas," she wrote on her Instagram.
