This Ultra-Rare Porsche 924 Shooting Brake is For Sale

From Road & Track

Most people remember the Porsche 924 as the automaker's first front-engine, entry-level sports coupe. It only came in a two-door hatch bodystyle from the factory, but that didn't stop German tuning firm DP from converting nine 924s into stylish shooting brakes. And now, one of those cars is for sale.

This car left the factory as a standard, 1977 model year Porsche 924 coupe. Nine years later, in 1986, it was converted by DP into the sweet two-door wagon you see today. An elongated roof, big rear windows, and a hatchback opening round out the rear section of the car, giving it a great factory look.

According to the listing on Gmünd Cars, this 924 also benefitted from a complete conversion to 924 Turbo specifications. The engine, transaxle gearbox, brakes, and wheels are all Turbo-spec, adding to the desirability.

The ad states this 924 has lived it's whole life in Stockholm, Sweden, where it remains today. It's listed for 25,995 British Pounds, or $31,732. Seeing as there are only nine DP-converted 924s in existence, this is quite the find and actually seems like a bit of a steal.
