Updated NASCAR Xfinity, CraftsmanTruck Series Playoff Standings after Bristol

Justin Allgaier opened the Xfinity Series playoffs with a victory in Friday night’s Food City 300 at Bristol Motor Speedway to punch his ticket into the Round of 8.

The JR Motorsports driver was the top lap leader in the event, setting the pace three times for 110 laps.

The playoffs now move to Texas Motor Speedway.

NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series

On Thursday at Bristol,Corey Heim punched his ticket to the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series championship round in Phoenix with his narrow victory over Christian Eckes.

Eckes dominated the 200-lap Bristol Motor Speedway event, leading all but 50 laps before Heim passed him with six laps remaining.

With two races remaining in the Truck Series Round of 8, Eckes is second in the standings, 29 points above the cutline. The two other drivers above the cutline are Carson Hocevar at plus 18 and Grant Enfinger at plus 14.

Below the cutline are defending series champion Zane Smith, who incurred a pit road penalty at Bristol for pitting outside of his pit box, the 2021 series champion Ben Rhodes, Nick Sanchez and Ty Majeski. Smith is 14 points below the cutline, Rhodes is 19 and Sanchez and Majeski are both 22 points each.

The next race is at Talladega.
