The Chevrolet Caprice Police Pursuit Vehicle (PPV) might call itself a Caprice, but it's really a Holden Commodore (only a bit longer). We first saw the Commodore in the U.S. as the Pontiac G8, and now there's a police version wearing a Chevy badge. We're not exactly sure why GM decided to turn an Australian import into a police car, but we're not going to complain about the existence of more rear-wheel-drive sedans packing V8s.

Still, as the latest video from Regular Car Reviews points out, you have to wonder what the appeal of a used one is. Yes, compared to the G8, the Caprice's suspension has been beefed up, and the platform has been stretched. And yes, it's got a V8. But the interior is sparse at best, the parts are expensive, and few people are going to have any idea what you're driving.

Then again, maybe that's the point. The Caprice a car you really have to want. You have to want it enough to skip over G8 GT and the Chevrolet SS. And if that's the car you want, you won't car that it doesn't have widespread appeal. It's not a car for other people. It's for you, and that's all that matters.
