Video: IndyCar Releases Trailer for '100 Days to Indy' Reality Series
We all make mistakes. It’s human nature.
And while we really don’t want to point this one out, on the flip side, someone should have caught this, no question about it. If if some bot was responsible.
IndyCar put out a promotional video for the upcoming “!00 Days To Indy” reality series, which made its debut this week at the very high-profile South by Southwest, also known as SXSW, in Austin, Texas.
Don’t get us wrong, the video itself is great.
However, the closed captioning text at the start of the video revealed an eye-catching error. Blame the artificial intelligence or bot in charge of the close captioning.
The CC reads: “All cars in the grid, Minneapolis 500 is our Mecca. It’s …"
Uh, oops. Correction: major big oops.
We’re obviously talking about the “INDIANAPOLIS 500.” Heck, they don’t even have a go-kart race known as the Minneapolis 500.
Autoweek reached out to IndyCar to advise them of the closed captioning error.
