Karnataka Election 2013 Results: Congress ahead, JD(S) No 2

Nearly two hours into counting of votes in Karnataka, the Congress with 107 seats has now moved way ahead of the ruling BJP, that is clearly not staging a comeback. As per the latest trends available at around 10.30 am, the JD(S) has put a strong show with leads in 46 seats. While the incumbent BJP is ahead in 41 seats, Yeddyurappa's KJP is leading only in 14 seats. The Congress projected confidence as counting of votes continues. Lawmaker and spokesperson of BJP Prakash Javadekar said that it would not be appropriate to react at this stage but explained that the split vote would definitely impact the results.
