The flooded River Ganges has swept away numerous clusters of houses and caused heavy loss of lives in Uttarakhand. People across India prayed for the safety and well being of victims caught in the flood fury. In Moradabad, locals organized a candle light march to show support to the families of the victims of this natural disaster. Buddhist monks held prayers for the victims and their families in Bihar.
