The new TX joins Lexus's lineup for 2024 and is larger than the RX. With a standard third row of seats and additional interior space, it replaces the previous RX L and shares components with the Toyota Grand Highlander. Lexus will offer the TX in three configurations: the gas-only TX350, the hybrid TX500h, and the plug-in-hybrid TX550h+.
The TX has a distinctive front end with a body-color treatment for the Lexus "spindle" grille design.
This is the TX350, which has a 275-hp turbocharged 2.4-liter inline-four.
The similarities between the TX and the Toyota Grand Highlander are more obvious in profile.
The TX350 is pictured here in Luxury trim; there will also be base and Premium trim levels.
One advantage of the TX's larger size compared with the old RX L is more space behind the third-row seats.
With all the seats folded, Lexus claims total cargo space is 97 cubic feet.
The TX350 comes standard with front-wheel drive but offers all-wheel drive as an option.
The TX500h F Sport Performance model combines the turbo-four with two electric motors for a total of 366 horsepower.
The TX500h hybrid is available only as an F Sport Performance model, and it comes with handling upgrades as well.
