The suburban mainstay that is the Chevrolet Traverse gets a complete overhaul for 2024, and it's far less dull with a more powerful engine, a more assertive look, and an off-road-focused Z71 model. Click through for images of the new Traverse.
The new Traverse has a 17.7-inch center touchscreen, a big upgrade from the 7.0- and 8.0-inch screens in the outgoing model.
LED taillights are reminiscent of those on the 2024 Chevy Trax.
This is the top-end model, the RS, which is exclusively a seven-seater with a power-folding second row.
The Z71 rides about one inch higher than other Traverse models, and it has a wider track for better stability. That and the twin-clutch all-wheel-drive system make it the most suitable model for off-roading.
The Traverse Z71 also features unique 18-inch wheels that are mounted on Goodyear Wrangler Territory All-Terrain tires that help its trail capabilities.
For the first time, the Traverse is available with what Chevy calls "AutoSense" liftgate that can open itself automatically.
While the second-row captain's chairs are upright in this photo, the Traverse boasts 98 cubic feet of maximum cargo space with all the rows behind the front seats folded flat.
Among the many news features that are available on the 2024 Traverse is GM's Super Cruise hands-free driver-assist system. It allows the driver to take their hands off the wheel on select highways. Super Cruise can also automatically change lanes and is compatible with a trailer.
