The 2024 Chevy Blazer EV is offered in multiple configurations. We've just driven the RS model in AWD and rear-drive form.
The 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV RS is a new battery-electric entry that is unrelated to the gas-powered Chevy Blazer.
Compared to the regular Blazer, the Blazer EV is lower and wider, although it's about the same length overall.
The Blazer EV sits astride a much longer wheelbase than its gas-fueled cousin to accommodate the underfloor battery.
Unlike most EVs, the dual-motor, all-wheel-drive version of the Blazer EV RS is the less powerful model, with 288 horsepower. The single-motor, rear-drive variant has 340 horsepower.
The all-wheel-drive Blazer RS has a smaller, 85.0-kWh battery pack, while the rear-drive version gets a 102.0-kWh unit. Max recharging speeds are 150 kilowatts for the former and 190 kilowatts for the latter.
The EPA range estimates for the 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV RS are 279 miles for the AWD version and 324 miles for the RWD model.
The Blazer EV RS sports dual screens, the center unit measuring a whopping 17.7 inches. It runs Google Built-In but, controversially, does not support Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.
With mandatory options, pricing for the 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV RS starts just over $60K.
