Honda's TrailSport package, previously seen on the Pilot and Passport SUVs, makes its way to the Ridgeline for 2024. Changes are modest, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.
The TrailSport gets a retuned suspension that Honda claims is more compliant, but it's hard to tell from the driver's seat.
The single biggest change for the 2024 Honda Ridgeline TrailSport: General Grabber A/T Sport all-terrain tires, the first of their kind fitted to a Ridgeline.
The off-road mods don't much hurt performance. The TrailSport recorded 0.78 g on the skidpad, not far off its all-season tired brethren.
Suprisingly, the TrailSport was the best-braking Ridgeline we've tested, stopping from 70 mph in 180 feet.
It was also the quickest Ridgeline we've seen, hitting 60 mph in 6.0 seconds.
TrailSport interiors get orange contrast stitching and chunky rubber floor mats.
The Ridgeline's strangest feature, its external audio system that turned the bed into a speaker, got axed for 2024. Boo.
The bed does retain its trick tailgate that's hinged at the side and bottom, as well as its hugely useful locking trunk.
