The 2024 Range Rover Evoque is all about distilling things down to their most basic form. In the case of the U.S.-spec Evoque, that covers both the powertrain and the interior.
If you were really excited for the forthcoming plug-in-hybrid Range Rover Evoque, well, hopefully you'll get excited for something else.
Instead of the PHEV option available in other markets, the U.S.-spec Evoque will make do with just a single powertrain.
The Evoque's P250 powertrain relies on a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder that produces 246 horsepower.
Range Rover's new desire for minimalism first appears in the trim walk; the HST and R-Dynamic trims are gone, as is the 296-hp engine that accompanied them.
The exterior isn't exactly an exercise in restraint, but many of its cleaner lines evoke (get it?) the larger Range Rover and Range Rover Sport.
Front-biased all-wheel drive is standard, as is a nine-speed automatic transmission.
But while the exterior may not go for outright simplicity, the interior sure does.
The HVAC and infotainment screens have been combined into a single 11.4-inch touchscreen.
