This new concept car is called the Infiniti QX Monograph, but more realistically it's a preview of the next-generation QX80. That full-size luxury SUV will likely incorporate this same look when it arrives, possibly for the 2025 model year.
Infiniti calls this concept a design study, but it looks remarkably ready for production.
The paint color is called Akane, which is Japanese for "deep red."
The roof is finished in gloss black and is meant to look like it's floating.
The lights at the top of the grille are the LED daytime running lights, while the headlights are mounted lower down.
Infiniti says the gloss-black grille is meant to look like a bamboo forest.
The overall profile is similar to the current QX80, which has been around for more than a decade.
The new logo is 3-D and should propagate to the wider Infiniti lineup soon enough.
The QX Monograph concept doesn't have an interior, but we expect the production QX80 to incorporate three rows of seats, upscale materials, and plenty of tech features.
The color is meant to look different in various lighting.
The taillights, like the headlights, are supposed to look like "digital piano keys."
