Governor can't have it both ways

Florida’s Governor Ron DeSantis exemplifies a two-faced, hypocritical, Republican politician. During a Feb. 1 news conference Governor DeSantis said, "We're for pro-life" in response to a question about abortion.  “We welcome pro-life legislation” he added.  In the same month, he urged the Florida House and Senate to introduce a bill that would allow the death sentence, even when the jury cannot come to a unanimous verdict on the proper penalty. The legislation he proposed would also permit a presiding judge to override a jury’s recommendation of life and impose a death sentence.

When he signs the legislation, death sentences would be allowed if at least eight jurors agreed, creating the lowest threshold in the nation for the imposition of a death sentence.  Which is it?  Is Ron DeSantis and those who support him truly pro-life, or are they nothing more than fetus-lovers? Sorry, but you can’t favor the death penalty and claim to be pro-life.

At the State of The State Address, DeSantis pandered to his minions by saying, “You ain’t seen nothing yet.  We did it our way. The Florida way.” One can only assume he meant the two-faced, hypocritical, Republican, crowd-pleasing way.
