It's a common misconception you need a fast, powerful sports car to have fun at the track. In reality, you can take pretty much any car - provided it's in good working order - onto a circuit and have a good time. Case in point: This 68-horsepower Citroen C1 hatchback.

Bridge to Gantry founder and occasional Road & Track contributor Dale Lomas brought the little two-door C1 onto the Nordschleife to set a time for his "Club 1000" econobox challenge. It's an open competition in which cars must set a "Bridge to Gantry" lap time in a car with an engine capacity of 1000cc or less, without the assistance of any turbos or superchargers.

Lomas recorded the entire lap from his point of view, and despite his car's lack of oomph, it seems like he had a seriously good time. The lightweight chassis and set up suspension meant he could toss the car into corners at hilarious speeds, and really wring the car out.

Here's a video of a much faster car at the 'Ring.
