Ever since we learned that Mercedes-AMG would introduce a four-door version of the GT sports car in 2018, we've been itching to see a completed car. Well, it looks like Mercedes is almost finished, because a heavily camouflaged prototype has just been spotted testing on the Nurburgring.

A video of what looks (and sounds) like the new AMG GT sedan has surfaced on YouTube, showing the car lapping the 'Ring during an industry test session. Although we can't be certain this is the GT four-door, the design and engine note hint heavily in that direction.

As in other spy videos of the AMG GT sedan, the car is wearing what seems to be some lumpy tacked-on camouflage bodywork to hide its true shape - though the trunklid bodywork could be part of Mercedes-AMG's aero testing.

This prototype sounds like it's equipped with the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 found in pretty much every other modern AMG car, but according to another rumor, the GT four-door could get a six-cylinder as well.

Nothing's been confirmed yet ,so we'll just have to wait it out. In the meantime, watch as the car rips around the Green Hell.
