Yahoo Autos Watch an Aston Martin Vulcan Fly Up a Hillclimb
When Aston Martin built the Vulcan, it decided the car should be confined to track use on closed circuits. The 820-horsepower car was never meant to drive on public roads, which is why this video of a Vulcan flying up a hillclimb course is the coolest thing you'll see today.
Powered by a 7.0-liter naturally aspirated V12, the Vulcan was sold to 24 of Aston's most important customers as a track toy for them to use during Aston Martin-sanctioned events around the world. Though it is possible to make the car street-legal, most owners just keep their Vulcan stored away until the time comes to hit the circuit - except for this owner.
The Shelsley Walsh Hillclimb happened last weekend in the U.K., and one English owner brought out their dark cherry-colored Vulcan to do a couple of demonstration runs up the hill. Since they weren't being timed, the Vulcan driver had no problem doing huge burnouts at the start, and sliding through a few corners.
Watch for yourself, and make sure to turn the volume up for that legendary V12.
