Watch the Camaro ZL1 1LE Rip a Hole Through Space-Time at the Nurburgring
Back in February at the Daytona 500, Chevrolet unveiled a track-ready 1LE trim for its 650-horsepower Camaro ZL1, complete with spool-valve dampers, huge tires, and a bunch of aerodynamic add-ons. The ZL1 1LE set to be one of Chevy's most brutal track-day specials yet, and now we get to see how it goes about tackling the famous Nurburgring Nordschleife. Spoiler: the car looks very fast.
Caught on video during one of the Nurburgring's industry test pool sessions, this ZL1 1LE seems to be a production-ready car, devoid of any masking camouflage or tape on the body.
The car seems blindingly quick too, swinging around corners at what looks to be a supercar pace. It's possible Chevy could be going for a Nurburgring record here, and judging by the normal ZL1's time of 7:29.6, the 1LE variant should be a world-beater.
There's no official word on lap times yet, so in the meantime enjoy the sights and sounds of America's newest track special ripping around the Green Hell.
