Watch This Driver Do an Entire Commute in Reverse

First off, we have no idea what's going on here, beyond what we can see: A white SUV caught on a traffic camera driving an astounding distance in reverse. And doing it as if it's as normal as your everyday commute.

ABC News tweeted this video with minimal explanation. It seems nobody is entirely sure what caused the driver of this vehicle-which seems to be a second-generation (1998-2004) Isuzu Rodeo-to drive such a distance backwards. Officials speculate that perhaps the driver was experiencing transmission troubles. We think maybe they just wanted to spice up their commute.

The driver isn't just limping it along the shoulder, either. He or she decided to stay in the lane, going roughly the same speed as surrounding traffic, stopping and going with the lights. Basically, he or she is driving as if it's a perfectly normal thing to be reversing down a suburban road.

But the driver does make a few decisions that leave us scratching our heads. For one, this whole backward journey begins with the driver exiting the highway by reversing the wrong direction up an on-ramp, then backing through an intersection to join normal traffic. And toward the end of this clip, you can see that the driver seems to make a right turn-or, driving backward, is it a left turn?-at an intersection that doesn't seem to allow such a turn.

This whole thing happened somewhere in Ohio, and, like the Ohio DOT, we have to implore you never to attempt such a maneuver. If your car is truly unable to drive forward, just park. Don't, under any circumstances, continue the rest of your commute in reverse.

But this definitely makes for some entertaining video. And since there's no sound from the traffic camera footage, might we suggest this accompanying music?
