Slick floors, sprawling staircases, and squealing electric speed is the stuff of dreams for someone like Aaron Colton, Red Bull's freestyle motorcyclist. And when Minneapolis authorities give you free rein to slide through the world's longest set of metropolitan skyways, you take off before they can change their minds.

In Red Bull's latest stunt film, you can live vicariously through your own teenage, Blues Brothers-style, mall-driving dreams. Born in Minnesota, Colton traverses moving escalators, a basketball court, and carpeted office space as he explores all 9.5 miles of skyway that downtown Minneapolis has to offer.

Colton hit speeds upwards of 70 mph on certain sections of the Skyway on the Alta Redshift electric motorcycle. Alta Motors has been defunct since 2018, but the supermoto-modified version of Alta's 50-hp dirtbike suits Colton's riding style. Coming from careers in AMA Pro Road Racing, AMA Flat Track, World Off Road Championship Series, Supermoto, and Motocross, Colton is no stranger to loose surfaces or high-powered motorcycles, allowing him to ride a few miles on just one wheel.

This shoot occurred during a typical Minnesota blizzard, yielding 20 inches of snow and widespread delays. Because of that, Red Bull was able to include local residents in filming, giving them a nice show and reinforcing that the skyway is made for walking traffic. This video also builds on Red Bull's previous motorcycle stunt at New York's Corning Museum of Glass.
