Watch Your Favorite V8 Luxury Sedans Duke it Out On Track

From Road & Track

These days, almost every manufacturer has turned to forced induction to bring power up while keeping fuel consumption down. Back in 2008, though, it was a different story. Let this video from Best Motoring take us back to a time where high-revving naturally aspirated V8s ruled the streets.

Back then, Best Motoring lined up some of the most popular new performance luxury sedans in the Japanese market. Specifically, the BMW E90-generation M3, Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG, Lexus IS-F, and Infiniti G37 Sedan. The latter, badged as a Nissan Skyline 350GT in Japan, was the only car in the group not equipped with a sweet eight-cylinder engine.

The four cars hold a standing start, five-lap wheel-to-wheel race on the famous Tsukuba racing circuit, where they drift about and come excruciatingly close to contacting one another. As always with Best Motoring, it's quite the exciting battle.

Watch for yourself to see if your favorite V8-powered sports sedan came out on top.
