When it comes to old F1 cars, sound was the name of the game. Before everything went turbocharged, Ferrari had some of the best noise-makers in the business. Luckily for us, the Italian carmaker still brings out its race cars from time to time, just to remind us of how spectacular Formula One engines used to be.

This week Ferrari held one of its ultra-exclusive "Corse Clienti," or client racing events, where FXX K, FXX, and 599XX owners could bring their cars to the track and drive them to the limit.

In addition to the customer cars, Ferrari brought out a few of its old Formula One machines, and boy did they choose some good ones. The oldest of the bunch was a 1970 312B driven in-period by Clay Regazzoni, complete with a blissful 3.0-liter 12-cylinder boxer engine.

Ferrari also brought a modern V8-powered car, and most importantly, one of its V10 cars from the early 2000s. Watch below as they hit Mugello circuit, and make sure to turn the sound up.
