Bored at work on this Friday afternoon? You should watch 40 of Mazda's new MX-5 Cup racers tackle Laguna Seca in the inaugural round of the Mazda Global MX-5 Cup. Road & Track Editor-at-Large and noted candy enthusiast Sam Smith is there racing, as if you needed another reason to watch.
Since everyone will be driving identical cars, the racing will be down to driver skill alone, which should make for a fun watch. We drove the new MX-5 Cup car last year and it's fantastic.
