Watch a Ford Raptor Drift the Nurburgring

Formula Drift champion Vaughn Gittin Jr. went to the Nürburgring to drift his Mustang RTR competition car. It rained, so he took out a Ford F-150 Raptor on the Nordschleife instead. The results were predictably silly.

The Raptor is quite different than the stuff Gittin typically drifts, but he has no trouble whatsoever holding the truck at absurd slip angles. Just watch him put a wheel into the famous Karusell at full lock-it's mesmerizing.

Gittin's original plan was to drift the entire Nürburgring in his Mustang in celebration of the anniversary of its debut last week. Thankfully, Ford tells us that he'll be back later this year, hopefully with better weather, to get all sorts of sideways in the Mustang,

But frankly, we're fine with him just drifting the Raptor around the 'Ring. It makes almost zero sense whatsoever, and that's why it's so much fun to watch. Maybe Gittin should swap his Mustang for the truck.
