Most Lamborghini Gallardos were sold with the company's paddle-shifted E-Gear automatic transmission, but a treasured few were optioned with six-speed manual transmissions, completed with gated metal shifters. Watch this one go nearly 200 mph on the Autobahn.
The AutoTopNL YouTube channel got its hands on this manual Gallardo coupe to see just how quickly it could go on Germany's de-restricted highway system. After a few runs, the driver is able to push the car all the way to 320 km/h (198 mph) before having to lift for traffic. That is fast.
What we love even more than the speed is the clicky sound coming from the shifter each time the driver changes gear, as well as the exhaust noise coming from that naturally aspirated V-10 out back. As cars like this become more and more rare, we begin to appreciate them for more than just their stats. So turn the volume up and soak in the noises.
