Next year will be great for American wagon fans. We're getting the gorgeous Volvo V90, the high-tech Mercedes-Benz E-Class Wagon, and this, the Jaguar XF Sportbrake. The Jag wagon is set to debut within the next few months, so Jaguar's hard at work testing it at the Nürburgring. From the looks of it, this will be a very quick wagon.

That the XF can hustle is not much of a surprise, given that the XF sedan is one of the sportiest in its class. The car testing here sounds like it's using Jaguar's familiar 3.0-liter V6, which makes 340 or 380 horsepower depending on trim. Jaguar is also considering building a V8-powered XF SVR Sportbrake, and we really hope that'll hit the 'Ring soon as well.

Jaguar sold a wagon version of the last-generation XF, but unfortunately, it never found its way to the US market. It's somewhat surprising that Jaguar would bother bringing the newXF Sportbrake to our market so soon after it debuted an SUV, but we're not going to spend too much time questioning it.

We were already excited for the XF Sportbrake, and this video only serves to make us more impatient for its arrival.
