Yahoo Autos Watch Mercedes-AMG Testing the New GT Black Series at the Nurburgring
Back in March, AMG head Tobias Moers confirmed Mercedes would build two faster versions of the already-quick Mercedes-AMG GT S. The first was the track-focused GT R, and the second would be a Black Series variant that Moers said would be "something unexpected."
In June, Mercedes revealed the 577-horsepower GT R, but so far, the automaker has been quiet about the GT Black Series. But judging by this video, we may not have to wait long to meet the new uber-Benz. As far as we can tell, that's a GT Black Series test mule being flogged on the Nurburgring.
As for what kind of changes Mercedes-AMG has in store for Black Series, this video doesn't give much away. All you can really tell is that it's fast and loud. Not that we're complaining.
Could the Black Series somehow be even more hardcore than the GT R? Will it be a GT S with a huge power increase? Hopefully Mercedes doesn't make us wait too long to find that out.
