Watch the Nurburgring's "Little Carousel" Screw Up Every Driver's Line

From Road & Track

There's a reason they call the Nurburgring "The Green Hell." It's a fast, narrow course with barely any room for error, chock full of punishing corners designed to mercilessly point out driver error. We all know about the biggies-like the Carousel, the 210-degree left-hander with a berm-style concrete bank.

But if you're out on an open-lapping track day and you've successfully navigated the Carousel, don't think you're home free. Because its little sibling, the "Kleines Karussel" or "Little Carousel," is here to royally screw up your day if you negotiate it with anything less than perfection.

As the latest video from YouTube's Green Hell Car Channel shows, open track days at the 'Ring provide plenty of examples of how not to exit the Little Carousel's high-sided berm. Some cars get kicked a little bit sideways. Some pull a sickening three-wheel moment before settling out. And some? Well, some get a little unexpected custom bodywork courtesy of the outside crash barrier.

Watch and enjoy, but don't get too cocky-if you ever find yourself lapping the Nurburgring, this corner could very easily be the one that ends your day, too.
