Watch a Quartet of Toyota AE86s Fight It Out on Track

Best Motoring track battles are always exciting, but this might be one of the coolest-especially if you're into JDM specialty vehicles.

This race, filmed in 2000, features four custom Toyota AE86 Corollas, all built to go as quickly as possible on track (usually, they're tuned for drifting, but not this time around). As with any Best Motoring battle, the drivers get a standing start and have just a handful of laps to claim victory.

Just because this Best Motoring video isn't full of '90s supercars or sweet Kei cars doesn't mean it's boring. In fact, it's the opposite. Since the cars are so similar, the racing is incredibly close, and a joy to watch.
