There's no doubt the stars of the show during this year's World Rally Championship series are the factory supported Ford Fiesta, Citroen DS3, and Hyundai i20 hatchbacks. But those cars aren't the only things being flung around the stages. Privately run teams make entries as well, and some of them bring out extremely cool machines.

Take this Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0 for example. It started out as a normal road car, but was converted to compete in stage rallies around the world in the FIA's R-GT class. The car got a new suspension, a cage, and some heavy duty wheels, but kept its lovely 4.0-liter flat six and huge wing.

The WRC's YouTube account was nice enough to put together a bunch of clips from the Tour de Corse Rally that ran last weekend. It shows the rear-engined rally car flying through the stages covered in broken pavement, all while making a lovely noise.
