For most drivers, it takes time, patience, and careful finesse to fight through the pack. But for this incredibly skilled Mazda Challenge driver, all it took was one lap.

Back in 2014, teen Spec Miata pilot Joey Jordan found himself at the back of the starting grid during the beginning of a race at Thunderhill Raceway. Thanks to an impressive start, he's able to jump ahead of ten cars by the end of the first turn.

Jordan overtakes four more cars after an incident four corners later, landing him in third place by turn six. The next three minutes of lap one is spent reeling in the red car in second place, passing it under braking into a fast right-hander.

Using the momentum from the last corner exit and some expert-level drafting, Jordan passes the leader as they cross the start-finish line.

It almost looks easy from here.
