Watch Vaughn Gittin Jr. Turn a Straight into a Corner to Create an Insanely Long Drift

From Road & Track

Vaughn Gittin Jr. is truly a master when it comes to the art of drifting. Last year, we saw his Ford Mustang RTR drift car get completely sideways on a frozen lake in upstate New York. Now he's back for another sweet sideways video, and this time, it's at a Formula 1 circuit.

Ford Performance shut down the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya so Gittin Jr. could have the 2.9-mile stretch of pavement all to himself. Equipped with his competition-spec RTR "Spec 5-D," he had no trouble driving the entire length of the track completely sideways at a very quick pace.

If drifting through basically every corner wasn't impressive enough, Gittin Jr. also managed to combine turns three and four in his run, resulting in a gigantic 3,200-foot continuous slide. Those black strips are going to be there for awhile.

The video, titled "Forever Drift," gives us a turn by turn view, full of white smoke, on board angles, and of course, plenty of Mustang sideways action.
