Sunday’s forecast, via the National Weather Service, calls for a 70% chance of precipitation at 4 p.m. Sunday, the scheduled race start time. Rain and thunder is likely, according to the NWS forecast as of 10 p.m. Saturday. Rain could begin around 2 p.m. Sunday, and precipitation is possible through Sunday night.

Temperatures are expected to drop from the mid 90s into the 80s late Sunday afternoon.
