Yahoo Autos Whipping a Corvette Up Pikes Peak Looks Terrifying
Don't watch this if you have a fear of heights. The start line for the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb is 9,390 feet above sea level, and the finish line is at an elevation of 14,115 feet. The road between the two is windy, often without any protective barrier between you and sheer drops down the mountain. Really, it's the perfect place for an 850-hp Corvette Z06 time attack car.
That was friend-of-R&T Robb Holland's ride of choice for this year's Hill Climb where he ran a 10:55.166, a time that earned him a fourth-place finish in class. That's also quicker than any other Corvette in Pikes Peak history.

You've got to give credit to Holland and everyone else that races at Pikes Peak - it's a road that'd be scary at 25 mph, let alone 125.
