From Road & Track

The new Apollo IE is one of the most outrageous new supercars on sale today, and I'm not just saying that because it looks like a actual demon. The entire body is carbon fiber, and the engine is an upgraded Ferrari V12 sourced from the F12Berlinetta.

Carfection's Alex Goy recently got the chance to talk with Ryan Berris, Apollo's General Manager, about some of the design cues that make the IE as outrageous as it is. The first thing Berris brings up is the engine. Upon customer request, the 780-horsepower naturally aspirated V12 can be tuned up to 1000 horsepower, with the redline raised to 11,000 RPM, up from "just" 9000. Berris doesn't mention how much this engine upgrade costs, but if you're already spending $2.7 million on a car, why not splurge a little more?

Of course, that's not the only interesting part about the IE. Every car comes with two sets of wheels and tires, as well as two sets of brakes-one for the track, and one for the street. Berris also talks Goy through the weird triple-exit exhaust, the BBS-designed wheels, the fixed-seat interior, and the aggressive aerodynamics. Check out the video below.
