Willard rallies past Norwalk

Apr. 10—WILLARD — The Willard softball team scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning for a walk-off, comeback victory over visiting Norwalk on Friday in a non-league game at the Dean Ave. Complex.

Norwalk (1-9) led 6-1 entering the bottom of the sixth inning, but the Crimson Flashes (5-5) plated four runs to pull within 6-5.

Macey Robinson started the bottom of the seventh with a single, and Kalli Sowers followed with a walk off Cossondra Shinski to put two runners on with no outs. Kaylee Davis then followed with a single to load the bases.

Norwalk then got the out it needed with a force out at home off the bat of Ellen Fox, but Natalie Rothhaar followed with a single to left, and both Sowers and Davis were ahead of the throw home to score the game-winning runs for the Flashes.
